Instructor: Joan Sberro

Bosque Om Yoga Studio

& Bosque Om Essentials

Joan Sberro has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years.  What began as a casual exploration grew into a lifelong passion.  Receiving her initial Yoga Teacher Training in Phoenix at Desert Song Healing Arts, Joan began teaching at Humble Monkey Yoga in Phoenix and at GE offices in Scottsdale.  Having personal and family experience with breast cancer, she received additional certification in Yoga for Cardiac and Cancer Care with Nischala Joy Devi through Abundant Well Being.  Currently Joan is completing a certification in Yoga Philosophy through Embodied Philosophy.

Moving to Albuquerque in 2016, Joan began practicing and teaching at Dragonfly Yoga.  In January 2020 she accepted an offer to take on ownership of the studio and Bosque Om Yoga was born.  The studio offers a wide range of styles through both in person and live Zoom classes.  Joan also leads group meditation sessions weekly for breast cancer patients and survivors through the Lovelace Women’s Hospital Embrace program, and offers private coaching to clients seeking to integrate yogic philosophy more deeply in their lives.  She has established Bosque Om Essentials, as an extension of the studio and is a partner with Raven’s Nest Essentials.

Joan works as an executive recruiter in the lighting industry, and is at the beck and call of her fur kids, BG, a Blue Heeler mix, and Wild Bill, a tabby cat, who are best friends.

Join us for a three part series to build inner strength and resilience through meditation. We’ll discuss using essential oils to enhance practice, the chakra system as a point of focus, and how to build and sustain a personal meditation practice.
The first session - Anchor to Root will prepare the foundation; the second - Align to Center will develop the tools; the third - Arise to Grow will provide a larger context for practice.
